Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is officially on the ballot in the Lone Star State.
On Monday, DeSantis filed his application to appear on the March Republican presidential primary ballot in Texas. According to reporting from The Texan, DeSantis was represented by State Rep. Matt Schaefer (R-Tyler) at the ballot filing.
DeSantis joins former President Donald Trump and Dallas businessman Ryan L. Binkley on the Republican ballot in Texas. The latest poll of Texas voters, from YouGov and the University of Houston Hobby School of Public Affairs, showed Trump at 58 percent and DeSantis at 14 percent.
Ballot filing will continue through December 11. The primary election is scheduled for March 5, 2024.
