Interim City Manager Andrew Freeman announced a series of community listening sessions set to begin next month.

The meetings are being advertised as a chance to gather “input, concerns, and suggestions” from members of the public.

“If we're not listening to the community, we're only hearing what we're hearing amongst ourselves,” said Freeman. “We want to have that valuable input from our citizens.”

The meetings will be held on the first Wednesday and third Monday of each month in the City Manager’s Office on the third floor of City Hall. The Wednesday meetings will take place from 4-5 pm, while the Monday meetings will take place from 12-1 pm. The first meeting will be held on January 3rd.

Freeman was promoted to Interim City Manager earlier this year after city council approved a separation agreement with former City Manager Jared Miller. While the city has begun the process of finding a replacement for Miller, Mayor Cole Stanley has publicly expressed openness to the city choosing to stick with Freeman at the end of that process.

The sessions were announced by Freeman during a “Meet the Manager’s Office” event, where members of the public met with Freeman and other high-ranking members of city staff.
