Former Texas Realtors chair Cindi Bulla has filed preliminary paperwork ahead of a potential run to replace Four Price as the State Representative for District 87.
According to the Texas Ethics Commission, Bulla filed a treasurer appointment on September 22nd, making her the third to have filed following incumbent Four Price’s announcement he will not seek reelection.
Bulla has been a regular political donor, having previously given to Four Price. Bulla has also given to former Amarillo mayor Ginger Nelson and to Amarillo Matters PAC. In the city elections held earlier this year, Bulla gave to the campaigns of Les Simpson and Dean Crump.
Bulla is the third candidate to file a treasurer appointment in the race, joining attorney Jesse Quackenbush and Potter County GOP Chair Dan Rogers. In addition to the candidates who have filed a treasurer appointment, City of Amarillo intergovernmental affairs liaison Carter Estes has said he is considering a run for the seat. Businessman Alex Fairly has declined to run but has hinted he plans to be involved in the race in some capacity.
District 87 includes Potter County, as well as the counties of Sherman, Hansford, Ochiltree, Lipscomb, Moore, Hutchinson, and Carson.
The primary election will be held on Tuesday, March 5th, 2024.
