Update: Shortly after publication, Bulla’s campaign Facebook posted a press release announcing her campaign. The full release is included at the end of this article.
Realtor Cindi Bulla has begun to roll out her campaign for State House District 87. A website appearing to be part of her campaign, CindiforTexas.com, is now live.
In a press release posted on the website announcing her campaign, Bulla characterizes herself as “a fearless conservative voice.” (The press release appears to be authored by Murphy Nasica.) Her website lists the following priorities:
Strengthen schools
Ensure future water needs are met
Provide all Texans access to high-speed internet
Expand routine health care options
As we have previously reported, Bulla has been an active political donor. Recipients of Bulla’s political donations include:
Amarillo Matters PAC
Former mayor Ginger Nelson
State Representative Four Price
Councilman Les Simpson
Former council candidate Dean Crump
Bulla currently serves on the City of Amarillo Planning & Zoning Commission and the Board of Review for Landmarks, Historic Districts, and Downtown Design.
Bulla is running to represent House District 87. The district, which includes Potter County and much of the northern portion of the Texas Panhandle, is currently represented by Four Price, who is not seeking reelection.
So far, the only other candidate to roll out their campaign for the seat is Potter County GOP Chair Dan Rogers. Attorney Jesse Quackenbush has also filed a treasurer appointment. City of Amarillo intergovernmental affairs liaison Carter Estes has told The Amarillo Pioneer he is considering a run. Businessman Alex Fairly, who has declined to run, has hinted he has plans to back a candidate.
The primary election will be held on Tuesday, March 5th, 2024.
