The presidential candidate representing the American Solidarity Party received the most votes of any write-in presidential candidate in Amarillo this election cycle.
Peter Sonski and his running mate, Lauren Onak, received the votes of 12 people in Potter County and 31 people in Randall County. This combined showing of 43 votes between both counties put Sonski ahead of the next most successful write-in candidate in both counties, Claudia De La Cruz, who received 18 votes.
Sonski was the nominee of the American Solidarity Party, a political party that describes itself as “promoting human life, social justice, environmental conservation, and international peace.”
Sonski’s performance this year ran ahead of the party’s presidential nominee in 2020, Brian Carroll, who received 35 votes between both counties.
Down ballot, the party also fielded nominees for the U.S. Senate and Railroad Commissioner. Their Senate pick, Analisa Roche, received 20 votes, while their RRC nominee, Richard McKibbin, received 18 votes.
