One local judicial candidate is highlighting her experience as a previous judge in a new video promoting her campaign.

Pamela Sirmon released a new video this week promoting her candidacy for the 108th District Court bench in Potter County. In the video, Sirmon discusses her background, life in Amarillo, and her qualifications to be a district judge. In particular, Sirmon pointed out that she is the only candidate in the 108th race with prior judicial experience and discussed how this factor could be of benefit for Potter County voters.

“I’m asking that people vote for me for judge of the 108th District Court,” Sirmon says. “This is what I do and I do it well.”

You can watch the whole video at the embedded link above.

A former district judge, Sirmon served as the 320th District Court judge from 2019 through 2023. Sirmon lost her 2022 re-election bid to Steven Denny. Aside from this, Sirmon also served as a county court at law judge for Potter County.

Sirmon is running to replace Judge Doug Woodburn on the bench. Also in the race are Joe Marr Wilson, Sam Brown Silverman, and Tim Pirtle. All the candidates are running in the March 5 Republican primary election.
