Morning Robbery in South Amarillo Sends Two to Hospital

Police are searching for a suspect involved in a robbery in South Amarillo.

APD reports that, this morning, the suspect rang the doorbell of a home occupied by two 88 year old and 90 year old residents. The suspect told the female in the residence that he had her newspaper. When she opened the door, he pushed passed her and went to a bedroom and pulled out drawers of a dresser. The suspect also searched a closet and then left.

Both residents were taken to the hospital. The male resident received a cut on his leg during the robbery. The injuries of the victims are described as non-life threatening.
