One area theater will be screening a classic horror film on Tuesday, to celebrate Halloween.
On Tuesday, the Shamrock Texas Theater in Shamrock (271 N. Main St., Shamrock) will be screening John Carpenter's classic film, "Halloween." The film, which spawned a franchise and a 2007 remake by Rob Zombie, tells the story of Michael Myers, who after murdering his sister in 1963, returns to the town of Haddonfield to kill again.
"Halloween" has been hailed a classic and stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Pleasence. The film has also been credited with influencing other slasher films, such as "A Nightmare on Elm Street," "Friday The 13th" and "Scream."
The film's showing will take place at 8pm on Tuesday, October 31st in Shamrock.
