A Deaf Smith County constable has been appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to serve on a state board.
Constable Bryan Hedrick has been appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to Texas School Safety Center Board for a term set to expire in February. In the role, Hedrick will be responsible for reporting to the governor, the legislature and other state bodies on school safety and security.
In addition to his role as constable, Hedrick is also the director of Special Services for the Hereford Independent School District. Hedrick is a veteran of the United States Army and holds a degree from Wayland Baptist University.
