A Hereford resident has been reappointed by Governor Greg Abbott to a board that focuses on school safety in Texas.
On Thursday, Abbott announced that he had reappointed Bryan Hedrick to the Texas School Safety Center Board. Hedrick currently serves director of Special Services for the Hereford Independent School District and is a constable for Deaf Smith County. According to Abbott's office, Hedrick has over 35 years of law enforcement experience under his belt and has spent 27 years with a focus on school safety.
In addition to Hedrick, Abbott reappointed Mike Cox, Allison Hymel, Cecilia “Cissy” Reynolds-Perez, and Paul Robbins to the board. All of the members reappointed will serve terms set to expire on April 1, 2020.
