Lumber Liquidators Donates to Hurricane Recovery Efforts

Lumber Liquidators has donated $100,000 in flooring materials to hurricane recovery efforts in south Texas.

It was announced on Thursday that Lumber Liquidators donated the materials to the Aransas Pass Independent School District to help rebuilding efforts following Hurricane Harvey. Donated materials are being put to use in various areas of the school district, including: the library, offices and common spaces.

Following the announcement of the donation, Governor Greg Abbott reacted positively, saying that the donation will help show the resilience of Texans affected by Hurricane Harvey.

“There is nothing more important than our students’ educational advancement, which is why the restoration of this school is such a critical step to help this community heal after the hurricane,” Abbott said in a statement. “Hurricane Harvey may have left behind unprecedented devastation, but the people of Aransas Pass and the generosity of Lumber Liquidators show that no disaster can match the resilience of Texans.”
