Seliger Wins Award from Association of Community Schools

Senator Kel Seliger announced on Thursday that he has received an award from the Texas Association of Community Schools.

According to Seliger's campaign, the Texas Association of Community Schools recognized Seliger with the presentation of the Most Valuable Legislator award. Seliger announced the award saying his is proud to be a voice of education.

The announcement of the award comes as Seliger is facing several challengers in 2018. Republican restaurant owner Victor Leal and former Midland mayor Mike Canon are challenging Seliger for the party's nomination. Libertarian Jack B. Westbrook will face the Republican nominee in November.
