Two candidates vying to be Texas Panhandle representatives in Austin visited Perryton Christian Academy on Wednesday.
Jason Huddleston, candidate for state representative, and Mike Canon, candidate for state senator, visited Perryton Christian Academy on Wednesday afternoon. According to Huddleston, the two men visited the school to drop off a non-campaign related item and were invited to share testimony with the students.
After both men shared testimony with the those in attendance, PCA students prayed over the candidates.
Huddleston, a Perryton insurance broker, is currently running against Representative Ken King for the district 88 Republican nomination. Canon, former mayor of Midland, is running against Senator Kel Seliger and Amarillo restaurant owner Victor Leal for the Republican nomination for district 31 state senator.
