Ambulance Involved in I-40 Accident

An ambulance was involved in an accident on Interstate 40, today.

According to the Amarillo Police Department, officers were dispatched yesterday afternoon on the call of an accident involving an ambulance near the 2800 block of Interstate 40.

Initial information states that a white Chevrolet pickup collided with the back of a black Dodge pickup. Both vehicles were stopped in the middle lane when an ambulance rear ended the Chevrolet pickup.

Both paramedics in the ambulance were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet sustained non-life threatening injuries, while the Dodge's occupants was uninjured. The passenger in the Chevrolet was also uninjured.

This area was also the scene of two other accidents on Thursday.
