Smoke is appearing across the Texas Panhandle from the local fires, including in Lubbock.
EverythingLubbock.com reported today that a haze was over the city, this morning, from the fires on the high plains. Lubbock's National Weather Service reported that the smoke hanging over Lubbock was from the Amarillo fires.
The smoke reportedly reached Lubbock at about 5am. Smoke from the fires has also been reported in other cities, such as Big Spring and San Angelo.
According to the NWS's report, the smoke from the Panhandle fires will remain over Lubbock, throughout the day.
