The Amarillo City Council has approved an expenditure aimed at conducting a road survey.
During its meeting on Tuesday night, the Council voted 4-1 to approve conducting the pavement condition survey. The survey is aimed to provide for a comprehensive pavement management plan in Potter and Randall counties. Councilmember Randy Burkett voted against the item. The survey will be conducted through H20 Partners for $363,320.
Also during the meeting, the Council voted to approve a contract with Vanir Construction for a comprehensive project management plan. That agreement will cost $233,580.
The meeting also saw the return of Mayor Paul Harpole, following a brief absence, due to illness.
