If Abbott calls the session, he will have the authority to set the agenda for which topics will be discussed, according to the Austin-American Statesman.
According to the Statesman, topics that could be discussed if a special legislative session is called include: property tax reform, ethics reform, a "bathroom bill," and the continuation of several state agencies including the Texas Medical Board.
