Traffic downtown resumed this morning after a scare in which the Amarillo Police Department found a suspicious package.
APD issued a statement saying that a suspicious package was discovered downtown in front of the Fire Administration Building in the 300 block of South Van Buren. Streets were blocked off for safety concerns and APD's Bomb Squad was called to the scene.
After about an hour, the Bomb Squad determined that the scene was clear of hazards. Traffic has since resumed.
