One person is dead following a vehicle collision on South Western, according to the Amarillo Police Department.
A 1996 Harley Davidson motorcycle was northbound on Western, approaching Line Avenue. A 2000 Dodge 1500 was westbound on Line approaching Western. The Dodge pulled out from a stop sign and struck the motorcycle.
APD reports that the motorcycle driver, Michael True, 30, was killed in the accident. True was wearing a helmet.
Justice of the Peace Rich Herman has ordered an autopsy.
Speed is believed to be a factor in the collision. APD's Traffic Investigation Squad is investigating.
