Pei Wei has announced that it will be relocating its global headquarters to Texas.
In an announcement, Pei Wei Asian Diner, LLC announced that it is relocating its headquarters to Irving, Texas. The brand was founded by P.F. Chang's in 2000 and serves customers around the world, including at a location in Southwest Amarillo.
The project is expected to bring an investment of $1.5 million from the company into Texas. The move is supported by the Irving Chamber of Commerce and the Irving Economic Development Partnership.
Pei Wei's move is supported by $500,000 in incentives from the State of Texas and $75,000 in incentives from the City of Irving.
Governor Greg Abbott responded favorably to the announcement of Pei Wei's relocation in a statement from his office.
“The Texas model of limited government, reduced regulations and low taxes continues to create a diverse economy that attracts businesses from a variety of industries,” said Abbott, “Pei Wei is a welcome addition to the Lone Star State and I am confident that our robust economy and superior workforce will fuel their continued success and growth. As Governor, I will continue to promote policies that lead to more relocations by industry leaders.”
Pei Wei's headquarters are currently based in Arizona.
