The Amarillo Police Department was recognized by the Texas Police Chiefs Association during last night's meeting of the Amarillo City Council.
During last night's meeting of the Amarillo City Council, West Texas State University Chief of Police Shawn Burns, the Region 2 Director of the Texas Police Chiefs Association, presented Amarillo police chief Ed Drain with a certificate of re-recognition. The re-recognition followed an on-site inspection from July 25th through July 27th.
