Top of Texas Professional Wrestling has a big event planned this weekend.
This year, Top of Texas is presenting its 12th Annual "Mr. Ebony" Tom Jones Classic in the form of “Season’s Beatings.” The event will feature title matches, battle royals and year end awards for some of Amarillo’s favorite wrestlers. The main title match of the night will be for the Panhandle Championship and will feature the champ, Cesar Torres, taking on Tino Valentino, Phoenix, and Jayzon Zane.
But, while the matches pack a big punch, it’s not the most important part of the event. Promoters say profits from the event will be used to purchase gifts for children at the Northwest Children's Hospital through the holidays. Athletes from the promotion will purchase the gifts then deliver them to children who are unable to be out of the hospital for the holidays.
