'Hank the Cowdog' Author to Speak at WTAMU

The mind behind the beloved children's novel series Hank the Cowdog will speak at West Texas A&M University later this month.

John R. Erickson, the award-winning creator of Hank the Cowdog, will speak at the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum's Hazlewood Lecture Hall on March 20th and sign copies of his book, Prairie Gothic. Erickson will present his lecture, "Prairie Gothic: Writing Regional History," at the event on March 20th. Following the lecture, attendees will participate in a coffee reception and Erickson will sign copies of Prairie Gothic.

West Texas A&M University’s Center for the Study of the American West will present the lecture. Palace Coffee, Joe’s Catering and Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits are also providing food for the evening.

The lecture will take place at 7:30pm in Canyon on March 20th.
