An ace for the West Texas A&M University Lady Buffs softball team has tied for a school record.
On Thursday, Kilee Halbert tied the WTAMU school record for career softball wins, leading the Buffs to a 9-1 victory over University of Texas Permian Basin. Halbert's dominant pitching performance gave her her 70th career victory at the school and earned her a spot at the top of the school's record book, tying Marci Womack.
Halbert is a WTAMU senior and native of Dalhart. Her current season record sits at 13-4, according to West Texas A&M University.
