The classic film "Sunset Boulevard" will appear on Amarillo's big screens next month.
On Sunday, May 13th, and Wednesday, May 16th, the classic film "Sunset Boulevard" will appear on the big screens at the UA Amarillo Star theater and the Cinemark Hollywood 16 theater. The showings on both days will be presented by Fathom Events.
"Sunset Boulevard" was directed by Billy Wilder and was released in 1950. According to IMDb.com, the film tells the story of a screenwriter who is hired to rework a faded silent film star's script, only to find himself developing a dangerous relationship. The film was critically acclaimed when first released, winning three Academy Awards and earning nominations for several others, including Best Director and Best Picture.
