Amarillo Board to Set Condemnation Hearing for Three Properties

Three different properties in Amarillo may soon be the subjects of a hearing by the Amarillo Condemnation Appeals Commission.

According to an agenda posted for a meeting this week, on Thursday, April 5th, the Condemnation Appeals Commission will meet to consider calling a public hearing to declare a nuisance at 911 N Tennessee Street, 2406 Wichita Avenue and 1112 SE 12th Avenue. If approved, the Commission will hold an official hearing on Thursday, May 3rd, to consider declaring the properties "dangerous structures" and ordering removals of the structures.

No formal action will be taken on the properties during the meeting, other than calling the initial hearing. Following the consideration to order hearings, the board will host a public forum.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, April 5th in the Council Chambers of Amarillo City Hall (509 Southeast 7th Avenue). The meeting will begin at 4pm.
