Merrick Pet Care is receiving praise after donating several thousand pounds of food to Amarillo's animal shelter.
According to the Amarillo Department of Animal Management and Welfare, Merrick Pet Food donated 40,000 pounds of pet food to Animal Management and Welfare this week. The animal shelter announced the donation this week, in addition to a "thank you" note to Merrick.
"Thank you again to Merrick for the generosity they have shown to Amarillo's animals," Animal Management and Welfare said.
