When the City Council meets at 5pm for the final time, it won't come cheaply for taxpayers.
Amarillo City Councilmembers will meet for their final 5pm meeting on Tuesday. During the meeting, Councilmembers will approve a $1,798,034 consent agenda, which will include the purchase of firearms, software and more. The largest contract approved will be a $1,123,920 contract for the three-year use of Microsoft Office programs across all municipal departments.
Also, during the meeting, Councilmembers will consider appointments to a few boards and will consider rezoning ordinances. The tax rate for the upcoming fiscal year will also be considered.
This is the final meeting the City Council is planning at 5pm. All future meetings, unless changed, will be scheduled for 7am.
