WTAMU Student Appointed to Juvenile Justice Board

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed a West Texas A&M University student to a statewide board.

Last week, Governor Abbott announced the appointment of Chandler Huddleston to the Texas Juvenile Justice Advisory Board. Huddleston, an economics and finance student at WT, was appointed to the board for a term set to expire at the pleasure of the governor.

In addition to Huddleston, Abbott appointed Kris Coons, a San Antonio retiree, to the board. Both members will join the board, which "advises the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division on programs and preventative solutions and submits recommendations regarding federal compliance issues and federal grant disbursements."
