Greg Sagan will be launching a bid for the U.S. House of Representatives next Saturday.
Sagan, a Democrat and former newspaper columnist, will be making his candidacy official on Saturday, March 2nd, with an event at the Warford Community Center on Northwest 18th Avenue. Sagan’s event will include treats and music from the Dust Jackets.
In 2018, Sagan won his primary for the U.S. House District 13 seat unopposed, and went on to garner about 17 percent of the vote in his quest to unseat Republican incumbent Mac Thornberry. Sagan is the first candidate officially into the race this year, amid rumors that this could be Thornberry’s last term in the U.S. House. However, Thornberry has not officially declared his intentions one way or the other.
The event will begin at 2pm next Saturday.
