Amarillo Pioneer Hosting Forum on April 18th

Throw out your calendar! There’s a new date for the Amarillo Pioneer’s upcoming candidate forum.

On April 18th, the Amarillo Pioneer will welcome candidates running for mayor, Amarillo City Council, and numerous local school board positions at the American Legion Post 54 in downtown Amarillo. Representatives will also be invited to present information on the Amarillo College bond election.

“We’re excited to host the candidates at this forum,” editor Thomas Warren III said. “There’s a reason we have been praised for our award-winning elections coverage, and we’re honored to be hosting the candidates again this year.”

The change on the date comes amid a forum shakeup. This is the only forum planned for April 18th, as of this writing, and is also the only forum scheduled that will be officially hosted by the Amarillo Pioneer.

Trent Rosser will moderate the candidates running for mayor and seats on the Amarillo City Council. Michael Green will moderate the candidates running for positions on the Amarillo College Board of Regents and local school boards.

The forum will begin at 6:30PM. For information, please check www.amarillopioneer.com.
