APD: One Arrested in Auto Burglary Investigation

One person was arrested this week in an auto burglary investigation.

According to the Amarillo Police Department, on March 26th, officers were dispatched to Western Plaza Drive on the report of an auto burglary in progress. The caller said they observed a Hispanic female with a ponytail wearing grey tights, sandals and a black sweater allegedly breaking into vehicles. The caller said the female walked through a parking lot checking door handles until she found unlocked doors. The suspect allegedly got into unlocked vehicles and took items.

Officers located the suspect walking at Western Plaza Drive and Hobbs. Ashlee Guzman, 30, was reportedly found in possession of multiple stolen items. Guzman was arrested and booked into the Potter County Detention Center on the charge of ‘Burglary of a Vehicle.’
