The Amarillo City Council will meet next week and hear a presentation on a proposed deal between BSA Hospital, LLC and the Amarillo Economic Development Corporation.
According to the City of Amarillo, the Council will hear a presentation during this time on a proposed agreement to relocate the Harrington Cancer Center to South Coulter Street and Wallace Boulevard. The presentation will come as BSA is reportedly considering relocating the facility. City staff is recommending the City Council approve a “step-down property tax rebate” in exchange for the applicant being required to invest @20 million for the facility and $6.7 million for the machinery and equipment. Payroll and licensing requirements are also included in the item.
Councilmembers will assemble on Tuesday, April 2nd at 1PM at Amarillo City Hall (601 South Buchanan). The meeting will also include a noon public comment session.
