State Sen. Kel Seliger (R-Amarillo) filed a bill on Friday relating to education requirements for elections officials.
According to SB 231, the bill would require “the secretary of state [to] provide a standardized training program and materials for county election officers in the same manner it provides such a program to election judges and clerks.”
This is the second bill filed by Seliger on Friday. The other bill from the Panhandle Senator would allow county commissioners to complete continuing education hours online instead of in a classroom.
