Members of the Amarillo City Council will discuss renewing and continuing the third mayoral declaration of disaster on Tuesday.
During the Council’s meeting on Tuesday, Council members will vote on a continuation and renewal of the declaration of disaster currently in effect in Amarillo. This will be the first vote to continue the newest declaration of disaster issued by the Mayor’s office, which was issued on April 29. Council most recently voted on April 28 to continue the second mayoral declaration of disaster. All declarations of disaster issued during the recent time frame have been related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The meeting will begin at 1PM on Tuesday, May 5 and will be broadcast via Zoom.
