When Texas Democrats assemble for their virtual statewide convention, the Democratic Party’s presumptive presidential nominee and another familiar face will be addressing attendees.
The Texas Democratic Party announced on Thursday morning that former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden and former U.S. Rep. Beto O’Rourke will be among the speakers during the convention, which runs from June 1 through June 6. Biden, the party’s presumptive nominee for president in 2020, will address the final day of the convention, wrapping up festivities, while O’Rourke will address attendees earlier on June 6.
Several candidates, state legislators, and Democratic officials and activists from across the country will also address the convention throughout the week.
