Potter County Deputy Sheriffs Association Backs Jackson in CD13 Runoff

Ronny Jackson pulled in an endorsement from the Potter County Deputy Sheriffs Association this week.

The Jackson campaign made the announcement in a press release this week, with the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 57 becoming the latest law enforcement-aligned organization to signal its support for the retired Real Admiral Jackson. The endorsement follows recent endorsements for Jackson from other law enforcement groups, including the Amarillo Police Officers Association.

“Our members carefully evaluated Jackson's experience, years of service to the citizens of this great nation, as well as his vision for the future of District 13 when making the decision to endorse Jackson for this office,” Association president Audy Jones said in a statement. “Our members believe that financial responsibility is an important element of our elected officials and your experience with the budgeting process and service to this nation clearly gives you an advantage and, in our opinion, makes you the right choice for this office.”

Voters will decide the primary race between Jackson and former lobbyist Josh Winegarner on July 14. Early voting begins June 29.
