The 13th Congressional District Republican nominee for Congress was in Washington last week, meeting with members of the U.S. House and Republican politicians after his big runoff win on July 14.
Last week, Ronny Jackson posted several photos to social media of meetings he was a part of on Capitol Hill, including sitting down with U.S. Rep. Michael Burgess and North Carolina Republican candidate Madison Cawthorn. Among his meetings, Jackson also stopped by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s office to discuss the 13th District and Republican plans for 2020.
Jackson is currently shifting his campaign’s focus to the general election, where he will face Democrat Gus Trujillo and Libertarian Jack B. Westbrook in the November election. In the heavily Republican-dominated district, the winner of the race will replace the retiring U.S. Rep. Mac Thornberry (R-Clarendon).
