Former lobbyist Josh Winegarner has picked up another endorsement from a member of the U.S. House of Representative with days to go before Election Day.
On Wednesday, Winegarner’s campaign announced an endorsement from U.S. Rep. Kenny Marchant (R-Coppell) in the July 14 Republican runoff for U.S. House District 13. Marchant is the third outgoing Texas Congressman to endorse Winegarner in his race to replace U.S. Rep. Mac Thornberry (R-Clarendon), joining Thornberry and U.S. Rep. Mike Conaway (R-Midland).
“At difficult times in American history, our nation has been fortunate to have the right leaders step forward,” Marchant said. “We are fortunate to have Josh Winegarner as this crisis is upon us”
Winegarner is currently locked in a heated runoff with former Physician to the President Ronny Jackson. Jackson and Winegarner, both of the Amarillo area, have been campaigning rigorously in what has been described as a top race to watch on July 14.
