The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents signed off on a $6.5 million renovation and construction project at West Texas A&M University’s Amarillo campus this week.
With a vote during the board’s most recent meeting, Regents signed off on a renovation of the Harrington Academic Hall in downtown Amarillo to allow WT’s nursing program to move to the facility. The move, once completed, is expected to bring 250 undergraduate nursing students and the program’s faculty and staff to the downtown Amarillo campus.
Construction will begin in November and is expected to be completed by September 2021.
