Former Vice President Joe Biden’s campaign for President will be hitting the airwaves in the Lone Star State, according to a memo released by his campaign.
According to Biden’s campaign, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee will include Texas in his TV and digital media ad buy across 15 states. Texas, Georgia, and Arizona are perhaps the most reguarly-Republican voting states of the 15 in Biden’s ad buy, as the candidate looks to make a play and expand his electoral map.
“Not only are we making a larger overall reservation than Trump, we’re reserving in more states including GA, TX, and OH because we have multiple paths to 270 and an increasingly large number of voters who are available to us,” Biden campaign manager Jen O’Malley Dillon wrote in the memo.
The move comes as recent polls have shown a closer-than-expected race brewing in Texas, with Biden and Republican incumbent President Donald J. Trump in a narrow contest.
