Texas Republican Party Chairman Allen West has joined several plaintiffs in a lawsuit against Gov. Greg Abbott targeted at Abbott’s decision to extend early voting in Texas.

In the new lawsuit filed by a number of Republican legislators, activists, and organizations, a recent executive order by Gov. Abbott to extend the early voting window for the November 3 election is the main point of discussion. The lawsuit is seeking to have the Texas Supreme Court overturn Abbott’s order to extend the early voting window, which now runs from October 13 through October 30.

The lawsuit is one of the most notable brought forward against Abbott’s executive orders, with Texas Republican Party chairman Allen West joining the lawsuit.
