Amarillo educator Jason Foglesong won the endorsement of an influential political group in his bid for Amarillo City Council this week.
Foglesong, a local high school government teacher running for Amarillo City Council, Place 2, received the endorsement from Save Amarillo PAC on Monday. The group, which successfully pushed for the defeat of Propositions A and B during the November 2020 election in Amarillo, hailed Foglesong as the “obvious choice for those wanting to put Amarillo back on the right path.”
In the May 1st election, Foglesong will challenge incumbent City Councilwoman Freda Powell for her seat on the Council. Joe West, an administrative assistant at Amarillo College, is also on the ballot.
