Two Promoted at Randall Sheriff's Office

Two individuals have been promoted by Randall County Sheriff Christopher Forbis.

According to the Randall County Sheriff’s Office, Lt. Bill Sheffield has been promoted to the position of Lieutenant in the Training and Personnel Division and Sgt. Evelyn Townsend has been promoted to Lieutenant of the Jail Division.

Sheffield has served with the RCSO since 2001, rising through the ranks from correctional officer to corporal to sergeant. In 2019, he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant. He is a graduate of the Panhandle Regional Law Enforcement Academy.

Townsend has served with the RCSO since 2009, rising through the ranks as a correctional corporal in 2018 and receiving promotion to the rank of sergeant in 2019.

The promotions are effective today and will be formalized during a ceremony at the Randall County Sheriff’s Office on September 16th, according to the RCSO.
