Amarillo Police Arrest Two Following Car-Jacking

Two suspects are in custody following a car-jacking robbery that took place on Southwest 45th Avenue.

According to the Amarillo Police Department, on Tuesday, March 8, at 3:43pm, officers were called to the 5700 block of Southwest 45th Avenue on a car-jacking robbery. The victim told officers that a while male and white female had assaulted her while she was at a red light and stole her vehicle.

Officers tracked the vehicle to an address in the 800 block of South Parker. The suspects were identified as Mandy Kimball, 33, and BC Louis Maxey, 39. APD Violent Crimes detectives obtained robbery warrants for the two suspects and a search warrant for the property. APD SWAT officers assisted in serving the warrants.

Kimball and Maxey were taken into custody and later booked into the Randall County Jail. The victim’s vehicle was also recovered.
