Four Arrested in Stolen Auto Investigation

Local authorities say that four arrests were made in a recent stolen auto investigation.

According to Amarillo Police, on April 4 at noon, officers located a stolen vehicle parked a residence in the 3300 block of North Bolton Street. Officers saw three subjects walk away from the vehicle and into a residence.

Officers made contact with Jocelyn Hockaday, 25, and Jose Ballin, 57, who both came outside. Authorities say Jose Galvan, 41, exited the residence and Jaime Grado, 34, jumped out a window, fleeing on foot. Grado was caught a short distance from the residence and was detained.

Grado was found to have a felony warrant for theft of materials. He was arrested for his warrant, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and for evading arrest/detention with a previous conviction. Ballin was charged with tampering with evidence with intent to impair. Both Grado and Ballin were booked into the Potter County Detention Center.

Galvan was found to have three local municipal warrants, while Hockaday was found to have once local municipal warrant. Both Galvan and Hockaday were booked into the Randall County Jail.

Officers were also reported to have found methamphetamine at the scene, but no further information was provided.

This investigation remains ongoing.
