The Amarillo Police Department bomb team was called to Rick Husband International Airport this morning to investigate a “suspicious suitcase found in the parking garage.”
According to a statement from Amarillo Police Department, the suitcase was first noticed by Airport police. Though testing done by the TSA appeared to show the suitcase “did test positive for explosive materials,” further assessment using “diagnostic equipment” by the Amarillo Police Department bomb team indicated the suitcase was empty and had no explosive materials.
