With early voting underway, one mayoral candidate has already cast his ballot.
Don Collins, a former Elkhart City Councilman and CVS Pharmacy manager, posted on social media this week that he cast his ballot for mayor. In the photo attached to the post, Collins can be seen smiling in front of a polling place.
“We voted for Don for Mayor, did you,” the post asks voters.
Collins is running for mayor to replace retiring incumbent Ginger Nelson. Collins’ opponents in this year’s election include Cole Stanley, Freda Powell, Sam Burnett, Tonya Winston, and Jeff McGunegle.
Election Day is May 6.
