Canyon City Commission is scheduled to meet on Monday, June 19th to consider an extension of Mayor Gary Hinders’ disaster declaration.
The disaster declaration, prompted by recent floods, was originally signed by Mayor Hinders on June 1st. The declaration was extended through June 19th during the June 5th meeting of the Canyon City Commission.
The Potter County Commissioners’ Court and Amarillo City Council each met on June 8th to pass 30-day extensions of their disaster declarations. Randall County met on June 7th to extend their disaster declaration “until rescinded.”
