As the Texas Rangers are chasing the American League wild card, the Detroit Tigers felt the wrath of the newly re-energized team, in a 6-2 loss.
The Rangers were dominant throughout the game, taking the lead in the second inning and pushing to a victory. The Texas Rangers scored a run in most innings of the game, only allowing the Tigers to score in the first inning.
Martin Perez pitched six innings for the Rangers and was boosted by relief performances from the Texas bullpen for the win. Michael Fulmer took the loss for the Tigers.
The Rangers will face the Tigers again tonight in Arlington. That game will begin at 7:05pm.
